Author Jane Heller, who has written 13 comic novels, has taken on the subject of caregiving, which she knows well. As caregiver to her husband, Michael, who suffers from Crohn’s disease, she has been able to find the humor in this subject and has written the nonfiction book, “You’d Better Not Die or I’ll Kill You: A Caregiver’s Survival Guide to Keeping You in Good Health and Good Spirits”. This topic is becoming more important and crucial as the baby boomers age and find themselves in the position of caregiver for a parent or spouse. Many are unaware of what faces them in this role and find out through experience what is entailed. Jane’s book gives these boomers an insight and tips, but with the humor that is necessary. Jane Heller’s book received a good reviewed by the National Aging in Place Council’s. You can read more about Jane Heller’s caregiving experience in the organization’s newsletter this month.
